Surgery
Surgery at Skåne University Hospital operates in Malmö, Lund and Landskrona. We perform emergency, basal and highly specialised surgery at inpatient departments and clinics. We accept patients referred from the entire Swedish Southern Healthcare Region and other parts of Sweden.
We work in partnership with other hospitals in the region, which means that patients may be asked to attend a clinic appointment or called for surgery in Landskrona or Ystad.
Surgery at Skåne University Hospital has been awarded national contracts for anal cancer, oesophageal cancer, peritoneal endocrine tumours and treatment of metastatic peritoneal tumours.
A total of some 800 people work at this unit.
Research
Our research is conducted in partnership with Lund University in fields such as nursing, surgical technology, pathophysiology and epidemiology.
