Plastic surgery

We are responsible for highly specialised plastic surgery in Skåne, Blekinge, Kronoberg and parts of Halland. We focus on reconstructive plastic surgery for congenital anomalies, tumours and various types of injuries.

The core facility for plastic surgery at Skåne University Hospital is based in Malmö and consists of a plastic surgery clinic and a plastic surgery department. We also work very closely with Paediatric and Adolescent Medicine department 1, which treats children up to 18 years of age.

Our doctors, nurses and assistant nurses and our rehabilitation team receive around 9,000 patient visits every year. The rehab team is made up of a welfare officer, a physiotherapist and an occupational therapist. Secretaries work here too, in addition to medical staff.

Our profile areas are as follows:

  • skin tumours

  • fatty lymphoedema
