Ophthalmology
We provide expert care for patients with all types of eye-related diseases and accidents. Our activities are conducted partly within the framework of healthcare choices in the Southern Region, and partly within highly specialised care.
Ophthalmology has clinics in both Malmö and Lund where we treat patients with cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic changes and age-related changes in the yellow spot in the retina. We also perform laser treatments and administer intravitreal injections for various eye conditions. The paediatric ophthalmology service is also located here.
We perform diagnostics and retinal, corneal, squint surgery, etc. at our highly specialised clinic in Lund. We also treat tear duct and eyelid problems.
We treat patients from all over Skåne, Blekinge, Kronoberg and parts of Halland.
Research
We conduct outstanding and broad-based research in fields such as glaucoma and retinal diseases, both congenital and acquired.
