Surgery
Surgery at Skåne University Hospital is conducted in Malmö, Lund, and Landskrona. We perform emergency, general, and highly specialised surgery at both inpatient departments and outpatient clinics. Patients are referred to us from across the Southern Healthcare Region and other parts of Sweden.
We collaborate closely with other hospitals in the region, meaning that patients may be scheduled for consultations or surgery in Landskrona or Ystad.
National specialised medical care
Skåne University Hospital has assignments within the framework of national specialised medical care:
- Anal cancer
- Oesophageal cancer
- Peritoneal endocrine tumours
- Metastatic peritoneal tumours
In total, around 800 people work within the surgery unit.
