Plastic surgery
The core facility for plastic surgery at Skåne University Hospital is based in Malmö and consists of a plastic surgery clinic and a plastic surgery department. We also work in close collaboration with the Paediatric and Adolescent Medicine Department 1, which treats children up to 18 years of age.
Our multidisciplinary team includes doctors, nurses, assistant nurses, and a rehabilitation team consisting of a welfare officer, a physiotherapist, and an occupational therapist. Additionally, our medical secretaries provide essential administrative support. We receive approximately 9,000 patient visits each year.

Research
We conduct multi-award-winning research in plastic surgery, recognised both nationally and internationally. Our research is closely linked to the Faculty of Medicine at Lund University and contributes to the development of innovative surgical techniques and improved patient care.
