Reproductive medicine

The laboratory performs all modern forms of gamete handling including timelapse and all types of gamete (sperm, oocytes) and embryo freezing, applying the vitrification technology. The most recent results about the outcomes of IVF/intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection treatment are among the best in Scandinavia. Part of Skåne University Hospital, the centre is closely integrated with Lund University.

Our andrological investigation includes ultrasound and most up-to-date semen analysis with sperm DNA testing (Sperm Chromatin Structure Assay). Thereby, our teams can diagnose potentially treatable causes of male subfertility, early testicular cancer and testosterone deficiency – conditions often overlooked at traditional IVF clinics.

Through collaboration with the region of Copenhagen, the centre has access to world-leading expertise in surgical andrology, including vibration and electrostimulation of males with spinal injury and other ejaculatory problems.
