Oncology
Every year, 4,500 patients receive radiation therapy at the first Scandinavian facility to install TomoTherapy HiArt System, which is available together with brachytherapy and isotope treatment. Collaboration between oncologists and physicists has brought the team of experts in isotope treatment to the forefront of international methodology development.
Based on international research collaboration and modern technology, cutting-edge expertise is available for radiation or multidisciplinary treatment of:
- Hereditary breast cancer
- Widely spread breast cancer
- Central nervous system tumours
- Spread melanoma
- Lymphoma
- Sarcoma
- Gastrointestinal cancer
- Gynaecological cancer
- Urological cancer
- Head/neck cancer
- Brain tumours
Our teams pioneered robotic surgery for gynaecological cancer and several benign conditions – a field our teams lead in Europe and internationally regarding volumes, applications, and publications. Annually, 300 operations are performed mainly for gynaecological cancers but also for complex benign disorders such as endometriosis, genital malformations, genital organ prolapse and various procedures in morbidly obese patients.
